Impact Industrial and Fabrication, LLC, stands out as an Idaho company capable of handling a wide range of projects across the U.S. Founded in 2012 as Schofield Welding, LLC, the company has rapidly evolved from just three employees focused on the oil and gas industry to over 30 skilled professionals and contractors providing various services across a variety of industries. “We’ve expanded beyond oil & gas to water lines, biogas facilities, food manufacturing – anything that requires piping,” explained co-owner Eliza Schofield. “HVAC, mechanical systems, heating & cooling – anything that requires pipe to be welded together – we can do that.”

Eliza’s business partner and husband, Jake Schofield’s leadership, business savvy and vision have been the secret of their company’s success. His journey from a welder’s helper to the owner of a successful business is a testament to his dedication and passion. With over 13 years of experience in the piping and construction industry, Jake has built a reputation for doing things right.  “We are called in quite often to fix a job that wasn’t done right,” states Eliza.

From peers to potential customers, Jake isn’t afraid to talk to people. His ability to effectively communicate led him down a unique path when he found himself out of work after the collapse of the oil & gas industry in 2016.   He decided to use the extra time to teach others the hard lessons he had learned. “He always says it’s all about the people that you know,” commented Eliza.

Schofield Welding has over 74.6K subscribers on YouTube, 33.2K followers on Instagram and 6.5K followers on Facebook.  He uses his social media platforms to educate and inspire the next generation of welders.

His involvement in social media has not only further solidified his influence in his industry, it helps ensure his employees are the cream of the crop. His how-to-weld classes and welding competitions have produced a steady stream of knowledgeable welders who understand what is expected of them because Jake provided free online training that wasn’t taught in school.

Since then, Impact Industrial and Fabrication has become a one-stop shop for all industrial and fabrication needs. Specializing in pipe systems and coded pipe welding, the company employs qualified and tested welders, hard-working laborers, and fitter crews. From intricate threaded or welded pipes to large municipal water lines, their expertise spans various sectors, including oil and gas, bio-gas, hospitals, airports, and the food industry.

In addition to pipe welding, the company also offers heavy civil welding, such as splicing piling, bridge welding, and structural steel. Their welders meet the requirements for each state, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Their ability to deploy traveling crews enables them to handle projects across the country, from onsite fabrication to installation.
