SMCS Quality Control Operator Job Description
A member of the Quality Department that provides services in support of operations to include but not limited to Production First Article processes; IPC 610 (current series) verification and adjudication of suspect deviations; hand solder practices; quality management systems documentation; production audits of documentation; internal audits; and general support of production requirements and training requirements as needed.

 

Work Experience Requirements
• Must be certified or familiar with IPC 610

• Must be computer literate; basic to advanced MS Office Suite products

• Understanding and use of calculations in support of QMS sampling, charting, and predictive analysis

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• History of working within manufacturing preferably in high tech electronics assembly

• Maintain data of non-conforming product

• Verify count of kits is correct

• Inspect circuit boards (weighing an average of 1.4oz to 4.0oz per assembled PCB board) as they come off the line under a mag light.

• Must be able to read:
– A Bill of Materials and interpret electronic, mechanical product and assembly process drawings.
– Familiarity with markings and sources of markings for electronic components.

A shift Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm
