Position: Product Engineer
Job Overview:
The Product Engineer responsibilities include defining product specifications, creating digital or print drawings and designing fully-functional products. You will drive design improvements, cost reductions, product improvements, and development initiatives. You will help resolve technical issues in manufacturing, supplier development, customer support, etc., and collaborate cross-functionally with other areas of the business.

Job Duties:
Communicate with design staff on status of projects to ensure on time schedule
Create and maintain 3D models and drawings library of products and components
Ability to 3D scan objects and edit files in SolidWorks
Identify opportunities for new products through trends and market research
Review and suggest design modifications to existing methods and products
Set design requirements based on briefs from internal teams and external partners
Research materials and techniques
Produce prototypes and test functionality
Life-cycle project management of the development process from concept through production
Qualifications:
Work experience as a Product Designer or similar role
Knowledge of manufacturing practice and methods
Highly organized, self-starter with the drive to manage projects simultaneously and effectively with minimal supervision
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) tools
Good knowledge of 3D modeling software
Experience with design programs (like Illustrator, SolidWorks, Geomagic, Artec Studio)
Ability to problem solve a variety of issues, while maintaining a solution-based approach
Industry knowledge of powersports (Motorcycles, Snowmobiles and ATV/UTV) preferred
