Idaho’s Eastern Regional Economic Snapshot: March 2025 and Trends Across All Corners of the State

This monthly update offers a comprehensive look at how Eastern Idaho’s region is evolving—and where key opportunities are emerging across the state, along with access to all of Idaho’s regions’ statistics.

Workforce and Economic Insights – Eastern Idaho Job Market Trends

In February 2025, Eastern Idaho experienced a 4% increase in unique job postings compared to the previous month. Notably, there was a significant rise in demand for truck drivers (191% increase), customer service representatives (150%), and civil engineers. The manufacturing sector accounted for 204 unique job postings, indicating robust hiring activity.

Leading occupations by job postings included farmworkers (82), registered nurses (56), and heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers (51). The top occupational families were health care, management, and sales.
Idaho Labor Market Information

Industries with the highest number of job postings were general medical and surgical hospitals (116), engineering services (73), and direct health and medical insurance carriers (69). Notably, engineering services saw a significant year-over-year increase in postings.​
