Idaho Manufacturing Alliance’s 2024 Manufacturing Industry Trade Show & Conference was a resounding success, bringing together industry professionals, innovators, and thought leaders from across the region. With 521 registered attendees, 73 exhibitors, and a rich lineup of engaging sessions, the event showcased the dynamic growth and innovation shaping Idaho’s manufacturing sector.
The conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote speech by Bill Whitacre, who inspired us to purposefully expand our perspective through our experiences. Bill’s last profession was the highly successful CEO/President and visionary leader who helped the J.R. Simplot Company reach new heights and expand its global presence. Now, he is ‘chronically unemployed’ and enjoying extensive travel consisting of motorcycle-riding across six continents and over 60 countries. His experiences have given him unique insights and perspectives, which he was able to share with the audience & get the day started off on a great note.
Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in seven informative breakout sessions covering a wide range of topics relevant to today’s manufacturing climate. Key topics included:

The Trade Show was a great success with 73 exhibitors showcase their cutting-edge products, services, and technologies. From advanced machinery and software solutions to workforce training programs, the exhibits demonstrated the diversity and innovation present in Idaho’s manufacturing community. It provided a great opportunity for attendees to connect with new vendors and partners.
Beyond the formal sessions, the conference offered ample opportunities for networking. The event concluded with a celebration of Idaho Manufacturing Alliance’s 10-year anniversary – birthday cake, raffle prizes, and networking. Attendees were able to share experiences, build relationships, and explore collaborations.
This year’s trade show and conference displayed the strength and vibrancy of Idaho’s manufacturing industry. Attendees left with new ideas, connections, tools for the upcoming year, and a renewed commitment to driving innovation and growth in their career fields.
